Instructor terms
This page is a plain-language starting template that describes how the platform currently works. It is not legal advice and must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer and completed with the operating company's details before launch.
1. Becoming an instructor
You apply from the Teach page. We review applications and may approve or decline them. Approved instructors can create courses in the instructor studio.
2. Your content
- You keep ownership of your course content and grant NepSec Academy a licence to host it and deliver it to enrolled students.
- You confirm you have the right to use everything in your course, including video, images, music and code.
- Every course is reviewed before it can be published. We may ask for changes or decline a course.
3. Pricing and coupons
- You set the price and currency of each course. The currency cannot change once a course has orders.
- You can create coupons for your own courses. The platform may also run platform-wide promotions.
4. Commission and earnings
- The platform commission is currently 20% of the amount a student pays for your course after any coupon. The rate in force when a sale is paid is the rate applied to that sale.
- Each sale, commission, refund and payout is recorded as a line in your balance ledger, which you can see in the studio.
- Earnings from a sale stay pending for 14 days (the student refund period) before they become available.
- If a sale is refunded, the sale and its commission are reversed in your ledger.
5. Payouts
- Payouts are arranged manually by our team from your available balance, and each one is recorded with its transfer reference.
- Payouts are not automatic. Whether and how we can pay you depends on your country, the payment methods available to us there, and identity and tax checks we may need to complete first.
- You are responsible for any taxes due on your earnings.
6. Students
- Review assignment submissions in reasonable time and give constructive feedback.
- Do not contact students outside the platform using information obtained through it.
7. Ending the arrangement
You can archive your courses at any time. Students who already enrolled keep their access. To close an instructor account, contact support so any remaining balance can be settled.
