Privacy policy
This page is a plain-language starting template that describes how the platform currently works. It is not legal advice and must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer and completed with the operating company's details before launch.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and a one-way hash of your password.
- Profile details you choose to add, such as a headline or bio.
- Learning activity: enrollments, completed lessons, playback position, quiz attempts, assignment submissions, notes and reviews.
- Orders: what you bought, the amount, currency and payment status. Card details are entered on the payment provider's page and never reach us.
- Messages you send to support and reports you file.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to run the site: one that keeps you signed in and one that remembers your language. Your colour-theme choice is stored in your browser. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To provide your courses, save your progress and issue certificates.
- To process payments and refunds and keep the financial records we are required to keep.
- To send account emails such as confirmations, receipts and replies to your requests.
- To send course announcements and news if you have opted in. You can change this in Settings.
- To keep the service secure, for example by limiting repeated sign-in attempts.
Who can see what
- Instructors see the name of students who submit assignments or write reviews in their own courses, and their own sales figures. They do not see your email address or payment details.
- Your name appears on reviews you write and on your certificates. Certificate verification pages are available to anyone who has the certificate ID.
- Service providers process data on our behalf: hosting and database, file and video storage, email delivery and payment providers.
Your choices
- Download a copy of your data from Settings.
- Delete your account from Settings. Your profile, notes, reviews and wishlist are erased. Order, payment and certificate records are kept without your name or email on the account, because financial and verification records must be retained.
- Correct your profile at any time in Settings.
